Raise your calabash

Have you seen Ghana??
I'm sure that's where Moses got the name "manna"
A country that is shaped like a voluptuous woman
You can bet it's filled with warmth and the sweetness desired by every man
She walks on the Atlantic ocean
Captivating, she's like a magic potion
This is where magical tales and folklore originate
Ananse, the Spider-man's crooked legs consummate
Where the linguist has to be super articulate
Because a slip of tongue is a slip of dignity
And fufu has it's own kingdom and royalty
The King's feet never touches the ground for he stands above all
The Queen's grace and maturity gets you spellbound for she reflects the beauty of rainfall
Akepetshie is whisky's godfather
Palm wine is the "Item 13"  of the ancestors when the spirits gather
There is no polluted air because every lung is filled with freedom
The Banku-Nation freely shares its territories with the Gari and Beans kingdom
Soup is a recipe reserved for the experienced mother's in our smoke-filled kitchens
This is where we eat to our fill because being slim is a sign of poverty
This is where germs are not harmful  and we call that true liberty
Where homeless people flex in their sleep because there is no winter
Ghana is where we choose late-night parties over war
Ghana is where we forget easily and pound fufu more like its enchanted
Let's raise our calabashes and toast to little things we take for granted
