Lil' Wayne Speaks Up About His Health

The multi-award winning American rapper Michael Dwayne Carter Jr has in recent times being in the news for all the health-related reasons. Reports of various episodes of seizures have been in the media up to the point of a near death experience.
Lil' Wayne therefore took to Power 106, a radio station in the United States to tell his fans what is going on with him where he revealed he was suffering from epilepsy.
This is what he said,

"This wasn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh... I have had a bunch of seizures, you just never hear about them."

He continued to say...

"This time it got real bad 'cause I had three of them in a row and on the third one, my heart rate went down to like 30 per cent. Basically, I could've died, so that is why it was so serious. Certain times I don't even go to the hospital, but this time, it was real bad because it was three in a row, and I've never had three back to back like that."

Lil Tunechi blames the recent occurrences on his tight schedule and lack of rest...

"The reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest, overworking myself. That's just typical me though."
Lil Wayne plans on going on tour with T.I. and Future this summer. The North American "America's Most Wanted" tour begins July 9 in Pelham, Ala. and ends Sept. 1 in Irvine, Calif.

Lil' Wayne's first public appearance since being released from hospital after suffering from a seizure by attending the 2013 Tampa Pro skateboarding competition in Florida

Video: Okyeame Kwame - Woara ft Raquel

It is obvious that this is one of the best things that happened in 2012. The song which can be found on Okyeame Kwame's album "Mr Versatile" is one which tells the tale of a tragic love.
He features Raquel on this one and in my own words,
"... it's a complete masterpiece from a master of the art."

Living up to his reputation as the best lyricist in the game which is only typical of an "Okyeame" which means a "linguist".

Poetry : The Black Star Tragedy

Kindergarten taught me the National Anthem
And my right hand has been feeling my left breast every time I heard my teachers say "The Pledge"
So it was only natural that I miss that lecture, run to the TV room and just "wedge"…
The heat in the room just painted a picture perfect Daniel-Shadrack-Meshack-Abednego representation of what I was taught in Bible School
It made me wonder if it was a taboo to bath to avoid this pool of sweat…
I could swear 90minutes under this temperature was either illegal or could bake a full bread
But somehow the patriotism of the anthem sent chills of goosebumps through my body, pardoning the unbearable heat..
If you were outside, you would think it was the smell of an unsual type of bushmeat
These Burkinabes were particularly unromantic in sight
I couldn’t get used to Bance's face with all my might
And it became obvious he had the same frightening effect on our defenders…
Vorsah tried all he could to match his terror  by dying his hair yellow…
But it a bitter pill that even Macaulay Culkin couldn’t swallow
I pity my fingers now because I chewed all the nails that decorated it…
Wakaso gave us something to smile about whiles Bance made them dance…
Asamoah Gyan oh Asamoah Gyan… His name is enough to express my pain but I thought the wise said, "No Pain No Gain"
With the referee being just a confused catalyst
But alas! It was "Yahy3 y3n" part 3&4
I wonder where Keche were when it was time for "Sokod3"
For we become the "bayla" in Burkina's trap
It was unbelievable when the referee said it’s a wrap
But I guess Naija was lucky to miss us…
They were scared as ever…
Because no matter when we bow out, its GH now and forever.
We are Champions and the world will remember us forever.

The State Of The Nation

It was barely a month ago when our thoughts actually mattered...
It is hardly weeks ago when they came to our neighbourhoods bearing gifts,
But our streets are empty again,
Back into hiding again,
Back to the rolled up car windows and the bodyguard syndrome..
No more concerned with our teardrops...
They deceived us with their catchy chants...
Screaming "Edey bee k3k3" whilst school fees chokes us k3k3!
Chanting "All die be die" when there is no inheritance for your family...
Now you turn to Prophet One, Two and Three because your MP didn't respond to your call number one, two and three...
Into the consoling arms of religion,
And continue down the path of desperation...
For they both ask for collection and votes in the market,
But they don't market their profits in your pockets,
Their lives are just opium for the masses...
Now they can't see you like they need glasses...
They cut you low like green grasses..
This is the State of the Nation,
It's more than an invasion,
There's is no time for retribution,
But religion is in the heart and politics in the mind...
Develop your skills like a country...
And love God like you are religion itself...
Before your soul is misspelt...

Sarkodie Being Illuminati Is A Stunt

Michael Owusu, better known as Sarkodie has and will always continue to marvel Ghanaians in more ways than one. His demeanor in the Ghana Music industry is one that continues to baffle his critics.
In his video, “Devio” in which he featured Kemenya, Sarkodie raised even more issues as he continuously flipped the “Horns” sign and wore a black shirt under a sleeveless jacket that had similarities to the many symbols associated with the Illuminati whiles icing the cake with “The All Seeing Eye” sign which is much popular with Jay-z and Kanye West. Critics lunged on this opportunity to accuse the Tema rapper of being sold-out to the Illuminati.

Sarkodie initially planned to release a song titled “Illuminati” exactly midnight into the 28th of November which a few out-spoken ones pointed out as mysterious, he however altered this idea after fans bombarded him impatiently by releasing it on the internet 11pm on 27th November. The track that hammered on the impossibility of him being a Freemason and aimed his audacious lyrics and punch-lines at his haters who conspicuously wanted to bring him down due to his success achieved through hardwork has spun heads all around.

Accusation of his affiliation to a secret occult society known as Freemasons or the Illuminati is no “last night news”. However, he has proved more than experienced in handling this controversy as a true showbiz icon. Instead of coiling into his shell as an embittered and betrayed artiste, he has channeled this publicity and hype into music which makes him more appealing as an artiste.

It all seems a bit mapped out since the same artiste who speaks of being for God (as stated in his illuminati song) would continue to demonstrate popular symbols of the secret cult in his videos. As they say any publicity is good publicity as the most successful artistes have usually always had a sense of mystery about them.
Is it a strategy?? Your guess is as good as mine.

Lexis Bill Reacts To RTP Awards

Louis Sakyiamah also known in the radio and entertainment industry as Lexis Bill was nominated for the Radio Morning Show Host of the Year at the Radio and Television Personality Awards (RTP) alongside Suhuyini Alhasan of Radio Gold, Kwame Sefa Kayi of Peace FM, Adakabre Frimpong Manso of Adom FM, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah of Joy FM, Kwame Adinkra of Angel FM and Captain Smart of Fox FM, which the latter won.

This is what the host of Daybreak Hitz had to say...

LQM - How did you feel when you were nominated?
LB - To be shortlisted in the category of Best Morning Show Host is really good, or if you were nominated to be the best Morning Show Host, of course it is something good and shows your quality, so yeah, it is good.

LQM - How did you feel also when the verdict came out?
LB – I still feel good honestly because all those I was competing with have been doing this for a long time, some for over 10years, others for 7years and are equally worth the award and of course it only goes for one person so for me, hey, I’m alright about it its cool... I’m good about it.

LQM– Do you have any complains or reservations about the awards, concerning who wins and who doesn’t?
LB – No, I don’t, I’m not the organizer. If you organize this then of course you have certain objectives you want to achieve or meet. So if an organizer decides to put an award’s (show) together and wants to achieve something, I sitting on the fence can’t say I have any complains. A lot people do say that sometimes it’s not objective and all of that but even objectivity is subjective. So at the end of the day, it is the organizers, and you can’t always expect a hundred percent credible something. You know, its not easy to organize an awards show, you can't please everybody, we should rather congratulate the organizer for being able to put this together, so for me, I'm OK with it.

LQM– Don’t you feel it’s high time you were recognized for what you do?
LB - I’m not in radio to win an award, I'm in radio to affect people’s lives; I'm on radio to learn for myself, to add something extra, I'm doing this for me, I don’t know anybody who says they are working because they want an award, no, I know of people who are working because of us... For me, that’s it.

LQM– Did your nomination and subsequent inability to win put any pressure on you?
LB– Being nominated for me was more of a caution that people are appreciating what you are doing so it’s time to give back. And since it’s a competition as well and your colleagues are gaining a lot of listenership, you also have to do more stuff to gain more listenership too, so yeah it’s a competition.

LQM– Where does Lexis Bill see himself in five years??
LB – In five years, I believe I would be a household name in Ghana Showbiz.

LQM – Thank you very much Lexis Bill.
LB – Thanks bruv.
